A lot of volunteers are working hard this week to improve Conneaut Lake Park. Their efforts are being coordinated by TV crews doing a program on amusement parks for the Travel Channel.

Much of the work today was focused on the Devil's Den ride. Crews were doing renovations including new paint and stucco to make it look more like a cave. A cameraman was busy recording their efforts.

The volunteers know the park suffers from years of disrepair, and huge debt. But still they think the makeover and television show are positive steps.

Volunteer Rob Hoffman said, "I think the process will be good. The national exposure will be good for it. Certainly there is work being done that otherwise would not have been done. So hopefully this will lead to better things for the park."

Many of the volunteers say they came because they have so many fond memories of the park.
