A fish fry benefit at The Polish Falcons Club is helping the family of a local man battling lung cancer. Fifty-three-year-old Curt Lipinski is diagnosed with stage three lung cancer. He recently underwent chemotherapy and had a lung removed at the Cleveland Clinic.
Family organized the fish fry to help offset some of his medical bills. "It's kind of nice to see how the people of Erie will get behind a nice cause," said Bob Shreve, one of the organizers of the event.
Lipinski was told he had four months to live after his cancer was diagnosed, but is pushing past that prognosis.
