The Humane Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania helped find Erie animals new homes Saturday afternoon.
The Humane Society held an open house with activities, dog training demonstrations, a silent auction, and reduced adoption prices. "It's a day to celebrate the animals. We had the public come in sharing with us demonstrations food, refreshments, vendor displays, information and education. And more than anything, the dogs and the cats," said Executive Director Joe Grisanti.
The open house also focused on preventing animal cruelty. Grisanti says he hopes hold more open houses throughout the year.
