After announcing earlier this month that the city would not be hosting "Boom on the Bay," it seemed many were left feeling let down.

But there is now some good news for those looking to celebrate the holiday.

Millcreek Township announced they will be hosting a fireworks show of their own.

After posting the story online, many of you took to our Facebook page to share your thoughts.

Most social media users were quick to share their disappointment in the city, while others expressed thanks to Millcreek Township for stepping up.

If you would like to view the Millcreek fireworks, they start Monday night at 9:45, at the Millcreek Youth Athletic Association complex.

That's west of Pittsburgh Avenue on the south side of W. 15th Street, and if you can't make it to Millcreek don't worry, countless other locations will be hosting fireworks shows this weekend, including Waldameer and Jerry Uht Park just to name a few.

Other locations include:

July 2nd
Pymatuming State Park
Canadohta Lake

July 3rd
Oil City
Waldameer Park

July 4th
Lawrence Park
Findley Lake, NY
Bemus Point, NY
Mayville, NY
