Greene Township has secured millions of dollars to install more than eight miles of sewage collection lines and a new pump station.

The project will eliminate the discharge of untreated wastewater from malfunctioning septic systems.

A $5.9 million loan and $3.6 million grant are making the work possible.

The township is one of nine in the state to benefit from more than $75 million in funding made available through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority.
