The coroner has identified the man who was killed in a Crawford County fire Wednesday afternoon.

Donald Robert Dahl, 71, died from asphyxiation due to smoke inhalation, according to Coroner Scott Schell.

A passerby reported the fire at 14702 Spring Creek Road in Oil Creek Township around 1:40 p.m.

Dahl was pronounced dead at the scene. He lived alone in the log cabin home and was found by firefighters in the kitchen/dining room area, the coroner said.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal's Office is still investigating the fire.
