Erie International Airport Executive Director Resigns; Search for Replacement Underway
Erie International Airport's executive director has resigned for personal reasons.
The board of directors of the Erie Regional Airport Authority accepted George Doughty's resignation effective May 10.
It has already started a nationwide search for a new executive director. The board hopes to name a replacement within three to four months.
Sheilah Bruno, who has been the airport's chief financial officer for the past 13 years, has been appointed as acting executive director in the interim. She will assist in the search and help the new director transition into the role.
Doughty was named interim executive director in October 2016 and was later appointed to the position.
