Lou Barletta Picked as Republican to Challenge U.S. Sen. Bob Casey
Republican voters statewide picked Lou Barletta as their nominee to run against U.S. Senator Bob Casey.
U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta, of Luzerne County, secured 63 percent of the vote with 96 percent of precincts reporting. Barletta was the party's endorsed candidate and co-chair of President Trump's 2016 campaign.
Pennsylvania Rep. Jim Christiana, of Beaver County, said it is time for young conservatives but fell to Barletta with only 37 percent of votes.
