Gaming funds are helping fight blight and grow small businesses in Edinboro.

The Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority (ECGRA) presented the money Friday as part of its Main Street Facade grant program.

The seven recipients each received more than $2,700 from the borough and $5,500 from ECGRA.

Business owners say it will help make a difference.

I think it will make the borough look at lot nicer, not only just for the locals but for students and their parents that come in," said Scott Loop, Dobber Auto Supply. "It will be more attractive overall for the university and the town."

The small businesses getting money are located along Erie and Meadville Streets.

This is the first year Edinboro has received a grant from ECGRA.
