The massive search continues for a Collegiate Academy graduate, who went missing during a hike in the Cascade Mountains, near Seattle.

Samantha Sayers, 27, was last heard from last Wednesday morning, when she went on a solo hike on the Vesper Park Trail.

Sayers was expected to head home that night, but never returned.

Over the past six days, a rescue crew of about 50 people and several search dogs have been searching the vast area, in an attempt to track her down.

Two helicopters equipped with thermal heat detectors have also searched the area over the past two days, but still no luck.

Formerly of Girard, her family describes her as an experienced hiker who graduated from Collegiate Academy in 2008, where she used the last name Steinbaugh.

Samantha’s mother Lisa Sayers is helping out with the search and has been providing updates on Facebook live.

"We need Samantha back and we're going to bring her back because I'm not going to stop until my little girl is home,” said Lisa Sayers.  “Her birthday is one week from today, and we're going to celebrate.  We're going to celebrate big.  So, we love you so much.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  We're going to bring her home."

Meanwhile, Sayer's friends have set up a GoFundMe fundraiser, to help pay for the cost of the search.
