Local U.S. Marshals are looking for the public's help, to track down a wanted sex offender.

He's Shawn Dunn, 31.

U.S. Marshals say he was convicted of indecent sexual assault back in 2012, and is supposed to register as a sex offender.

But, Erie police say he has not, and a warrant has just been issued for his arrest, for failure to register as a sex offender, “In this case he was supposed to be living with a family member, a compliance check was done, they found he wasn't residing there, so they issued an arrest warrant for failure to register as a sex offender,” said Chad Sensor, Deputy U.S. Marshal with the U.S. Marshal's Service.

If Dunn has left the state, Sensor says he could be charged federally, “They have to register their residence, their email address, their phone numbers, their vehicles, their place of employment, and in this case, Shawn Dunn failed to register his home address,” said Sensor.

Anyone with information on Dunn's whereabouts are asked to call the Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task force at 814-464-9682 or email [email protected]  Tips can be confidential.
