I joined the WICU/WSEE team in June of 2018 as a multimedia journalist and am very excited to be a part of the Lily Broadcasting team.

Before coming to Erie, I was finishing my degree in broadcast journalism at Kent State University in Kent, OH. While in school, I learned my journalistic skills from professors who held positions as reporters for 60 Minutes and various news stations across the country. While there, I reported and anchored for our student-run television station while being involved in various student organizations. Throughout my collegiate career I held various jobs and had three internships to prepare me for working in the field. I interned for two television stations (WFMJ – Youngstown and WKYC – Cleveland) and also interned for my congresswoman while studying away in Washington, D.C. for a semester.

I’m from Huron, OH and feel very fortunate to be working fairly close to home. Family is very important to me, so I visit relatives as often as my schedule allows. My older sister has been my role model for as long as I can remember because she’s always guided me to be my best self. From teaching me life lessons to leading by example, her accomplishments are endless and continue to leave lasting impressions on me. She’s two years older and currently serves overseas as an officer in our Air Force.

Growing up, I spent most of my time at the lake or at Cedar Point. I love rollercoasters, boating, and spending time with friends. Part of the reason I chose to come here to Erie is because of how similar this area is to my hometown. In my free time I craft, go to the dog park, tend to my many houseplants and try out new recipes in my crock pot.  You can find me at Presque Isle enjoying the beaches or walking my dog, Kenny, who I recently adopted from the Humane Society of NWPA.
