Inmate Charged with Forging Judge's Signature to Get Released from Prison
A state prison inmate, serving time for a violent home invasion, now faces charges, for forging a judge's signature, to try to get a release from prison.
Adam Brown, 27, is charged with forgery and tampering with records.
He's serving a state prison sentence of 60 to 120 years for attempted homicide, among other charges.
Brown slashed the throats of an elderly couple during a home invasion. The elderly man died weeks after the attack.
Brown was convicted in 2014.
According to the criminal complaint, Brown forged Judge Shad Connelly's name on a court order, vacating his state prison sentence.
The prison called the county to see if it was a valid court order and learned it was not.
Brown’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for next month.
