Most women's services are now in one location at Saint Vincent Hospital.

A ceremonial ribbon cutting today marked the official opening of the combined Saint Vincent Women's Center and the  Allegheny Health Network Women's Institute.

The space is located on the second floor of the Hardner Building.

Much of the space is devoted to the screening and detection of breast cancer.

Rooms are full of high tech equipment including two 3-D mammography rooms and new ultra sound devices able to spot hard to detect cancer.

Saint Vincent Hospital President Chris Clark, D.O. said, "This a step forward in a patient centered approach in centralizing the services available for our female patients."

Managers say centralizing all the services will also make it easier for doctors to work together face-to-face.
