With the temperatures dropping and the fall season full swing we are getting close to winter.

In the Wesleyville Borough they are starting odd even parking earlier than most.

"The public works people have to go out and do fall clean up, maintain the streets, pick up leaves, things of that nature, so that's why we start it early."

Wesleyville Police Chief Schultz tells Erie News Now it's for leaf pick up and to get the road ready for Winter.

Odd even parking starts today October 15 and it's important to be aware.

The parking is enforced 24 hours day day, 7 days a week and the day begins at 8 a.m.

If parked on the wrong side of the road it's a $15 ticket but if not paid in 48-hours the prices increases to $40.

Chief Schultz tells Erie News Now it's important to follow this rule for the safety of their workers.

"It's important obviously in the winter time for snow plowing to keep the streets relatively clean if they move it everyday we can really clean the streets pretty well," says Chief Schultz. "In the fall with the leaf pick up our public works do go around with a leaf sucker and pick up all the leaves so it's easier that way."
