Angelo's Salon Development Group is a wholesale company in Erie that has been supplying products to salons all over the area.

Angela Fatica is now the president of the business. She and her husband Chris took over from her father Angelo, who started the business more than 50 years ago.

"Keeping legacy alive is important," said Fatica. "From staying in the same building that the business started back in 1964 to even using the original shelving that Angelo used, which is now filled with new products coming in everyday."

Angelo's consistently works with close to 500 salon customers.

Salon Verde is an Erie business that has been a loyal customer of the wholesale company for 12 years.

The salon has exclusively used and sold Eufora products for more than 12 years.

"Their mission of using organic Aloe Vera gel based products really interested me," said Robyn Crago, owner of Salon Verde. "We wanted a very clean atmosphere for our clients to be able to have their hair done, chemical-free of petrochemicals."

Salon Verde's longtime stylist Fran Disanti also works with Angelo's Salon Development on her creation called the Penello brush.

Disanti said the brush "distributes everything much easier."

"I sell to him, and he sells to his salons," said Distanti.

Many members of Angelo's family are stylists and have owned salons themselves. Chris and Angela are always looking for new shops to work with.
