Bro Man Sammiches: Giving You the Business
If you like to try new and different food options, there's one place in a very unassuming place.
Fried food but not fast food, these are some of the creations being cooked up inside an Erie County Gulf gas station.
The gas station is at the intersection of Peach and Robison Road.
"Yea, I just stopped for gas one day and that was it. I had no idea," said Brent Lorei, a regular. "Pleasant surprise."
Brent Lorei is becoming a regular customer to Bro Mans Sammiches.
The business started as a food truck in 2021, and on Cinco de Mayo of 2022, Steve Stanbro and his Sammich team started cooking up unique selections.
"It's either do something completely unique and original no one else is doing and then I create my own names and style off that," said Steve Stanbro, Owner. "Or take something that's super classic. Super traditional from anywhere in the world and try to put my best representation of that item with my ability to present it with respect to the culture and the food from where it comes from."
There's seasonal menu items at times and among all the menu items the most popular are the berria tacos.
Stanbro uses social media to update customers what is new or changing
And one of the latest additions is pizza.
"We come down a couple of times a week through work," said Mike Taylor, Nissan. "We order it up and I drive down and pick it up for the guys and yea, usually twice a week."
Mike Taylor from nearby interstate Nissan said the orders are usually consistent, and now always include pizza.
Made to order for new and loyal customers, with birrias as a base for menu items.
"We do a torta. We do a birria pizza we have tots and fries we do birria ramen, going to be doing that in the winter," said Stanbro. "Pretty much done it."
If you are wondering where the name Bro Man Sammiches came from, it's a mix between the owners last name Stanbro, and a character on the former Martin Lawrence show who would always go after sammiches in the fridge.
