The 18 year old killed in a fatal shooting Sunday in the City of Erie has been identified.

Rashaan Husband died from a gunshot wound to the back, according to Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook following an autopsy on Tuesday. His death has been ruled as a homicide.

Police made two arrests. Patrick Nelson, 25 and James Troop, 19, are both charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault, weapons charges, and 1 count of recklessly endangering another person. They were arraigned Monday evening.

Police and Emergycare rescuers were called to the area of E. 24th and Wayne St. for a shooting shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday.

Officers arrived to find one male shooting victim on the scene, in critical condition. Rescuers rushed that man to UPMC Hamot Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Authorities say a second victim, who had a gunshot wound to the hand, was taken by private vehicle to Saint Vincent Hospital then transferred to UPMC Hamot.

Police wrapped crime tape around a large yellow home and driveway at E. 24th and Wayne St. A black Hundai sedan at that scene had three large bullet holes in the rear window.
