Construction is on schedule for the new $38 million Corry Memorial Hospital on a hillside behind the Wal-Mart store.
About 75 workers are now on the job. They lost some time because of the rainy spring. But everything is now on schedule with the hospital scheduled to open next August.
Most of the interior framing for walls is already in place. And crews are busy finishing up the exterior and roof before winter.
Project Coordinator Bill Helsley said, "Just to try to keep the weather out of the building so we can be dry, get the roof on, get exterior walls up and windows in. That will allow us to be closed in and dry and warm through the winter."
The new hospital includes 20 in-patient rooms, operating rooms, an emergency department and many out-patient facilities.
