Michele Brooks Wins 50th District Senate Seat

Candidates battled in Crawford County for the 50th District State Senate seat.

Republican Michele Brooks snagged the win over Democrat Michael Muha.

Brooks is currently serving her eighth year as State Representative for the 17th District. When her term ends in December, she will take the 50th District senate seat.

"We're going to hit the ground running, very excited, and just looking so forward to representing this amazing area as their senator," Brooks said. "We just have such a wonderful team. I'm very blessed, my husband and two children are so supportive. And thank you so much to the voters," she said.

Brooks won the race with about two-thirds of the votes.

The 50th District includes portions of Erie, Crawford, Mercer, and Warren Counties.
