The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled this week on a request to realign the magisterial districts in Erie County. The order means that two of the 15 the county will be eliminated at the end of 2015.
The two affected are the districts of Magesterial Judge Tom Robie at 4th and Cherry Streets and District Judge Carol Southwick on Main Street in Union City. The decision was made based on the volume of cases.
The president judge of Erie County will decide how the case load will be redistributed.
