Young adults, ages 15 to 25, gathered at the Booker T. Washington Center, to look for a summer job.
Mothers Against Teen Violence held the event that hosted employers like Wegman's, Scott Enterprises and Country Fair.
Following last year's youth job fair, officials said about 60 kids were hired.Founder of Mothers Against Teen Violence, Sonya Arrington, said preventing violence among our youth starts with keeping them busy.
"If we get them jobs, we'll keep then out of trouble," said Arrington. "We have the law enforcement, which is good. But we need the prevention piece."About 100 kids were expected at this year's job fair.
