Girl Scouts, EMTA Bringing Back Cookie Bus this Friday

Girl Scouts will be climbing aboard an EMTA bus to sell cookies and take donations to send cookies to the U.S. military this Friday, Feb. 22.

Planned stops for the Cookie Bus include:

• City of Erie Municipal Building, State Street/South Park Row (9:30-10:15 a.m.)
• WSEE/WICU, State Street just north of West 38th Street (10:30-11a.m.)
• Mercyhurst University, between Trinity Green & Baldwin Hall (11:15-11:45 a.m.)
• JMC Ice Arena/Erie Zoo parking lot (11:55 a.m.-12:15 p.m.)
• Millcreek Mall, Food Court entrance (12:30-1 p.m.)

Girl Scout troops will also set up booths Friday:

• Gannon University, Waldron Campus Center, 109 University Square (10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
• Edinboro University, Frank G. Pogue Student Center (noon-3 p.m.)

Popular cookie varieties include Girl Scout S'mores, Thin Mints, Tagalongs, Samoas, Trefoils, Do-si-Dos, Savannah Smiles, and Toffee-Tastic, which is gluten-free.

It's part of National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend in Erie.

Girl Scout Cookie season ends Sunday, March 17.

Proceeds raised fund troop projects and experiences for the Girl Scouts, including outdoor adventures and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
