Police have released the name of the man who died following a fight in the City of Corry.
Joe Paszkowski, 70, of Columbus, Pa., died after Corry Police said he was hit and punched by a 51-year-old man during a physical fight Tuesday afternoon inside a mobile home in the 13000 block of W. Washington St.
Paszkowski then went to leave the home with a woman, but the other man followed them and smashed out a window in his vehicle.
When officers arrived, the woman started yelling that Paszkowski, who was in the truck, was not breathing. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The cause and manner of death are pending further investigation, according to the Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook after an autopsy was completed Wednesday. He said the autopsy provided some answers, but they are still investigating whether mitigating factors contributed to the Paszkowski's death. They are waiting for lab test results to come back.
The Erie County District Attorney's Office is also investigating.
