Both State and Warren City Police responded to a call of domestic violence near Madison Avenue on Monday morning. Here is the statement from the City of Warren Police Department.

"Officers from the City of Warren Police Department were dispatched to investigate an incident involving domestic violence. Upon investigation, a suspect was identified and officers attempted contact with the suspect at his known residence. A confrontation ensued and the suspect barricaded himself inside the residence."

"Pennsylvania State Police SERT, was mobilized in order to serve both warrants. The suspect was taken into custody by SERT without injury. The suspect was remanded to the Warren County Jail and is pending arraignment. Further investigation is pending."


"It was scary, you don't hear gunshots, you don't hear big booms over on that side of town." said neighbor Michelle Durnell "But here, they [Police] did an excellent job and made sure everybody in the neighborhood was safe."


The City of Warren Police were assisted by Pennsylvania State Police Warren Barracks, Pennsylvania State Police SERT, Warren County Sheriff's Office, Conewango Township Police, City of Warren Fire Department and Emergycare.
