Victim Identified in Fatal, Multi-Vehicle Crash in North East
A North East man was killed after he was ejected from his vehicle after hitting two other vehicles late Monday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash happened on East Lake Road in North East just after 5 p.m.
State Police told Erie News Now the vehicle - driven by Michael G. McCumber, 46 - hit two other vehicles traveling east. It then rolled over, ejecting McCumber from the vehicle, according to troopers.
Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook pronounced McCumber dead at the scene due to multiple blunt force trauma.
Eugene Przybyciel, the driver of the other vehicle, and his passenger, David Przybyciel, suffered minor injuries.
The crash closed part of East Lake Road for more than 90 minutes.
