Erie County Representative Ryan Bizzarro says although the budget isn’t perfect, he’s happy to see an increase in education funding.

“Children are going to see more money in the classrooms from the time they enter school to the time they take their first job. I’m really proud to be a part of that and making sure that funding is there. It’s particularly important to Erie given our checkered past as a region with underfunding in our schools. I’m proud that this budget solidifies the funding that we had, and then keeps it there and then builds upon it,” Rep. Bizzarro says.

The Senate is expected to vote on the budget Thursday. Stick with Erie News Now for the latest information about the proposed budget.
