Humane officers are asking for the public's help to find who abandoned a dog in the City of Erie.

The dog was left in the 600 block of E. 14 St. during the late evening of Sunday, July 7 or early morning of Monday, July 8, according to the Erie Humane Society.

A resident in the area reportedly found the grey with white pitbull-type dog abandoned inside a wire kennel on the side of the street.

The City of Erie’s Animal Enforcement Officer was called and brought the dog into the Erie Humane Society.

Anyone who has information is asked to call the Erie Humane Society's Animal Cruelty Department at 814-835-8360.
