U.S. Marshals on Scene when Deadly Shooting Happened
A man has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a City of Erie home as law enforcement was on the scene.
It happened around 8:30 a.m. Monday morning inside a home in the 1100 block of W. 31st St. at the corner of Raspberry St.
The victim is a 31-year-old man.
The U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force was on the scene serving an arrest warrant issued by Millcreek Police when the shooting happened.
A two year old who was inside the home at the time was not harmed.
No law enforcement officers were hurt, according to reports from the scene.
Police said they found different kinds of weapons and ammunition inside the house. While Erie News Now was at the scene, investigators brought out a rifle and several boxes of evidence.
