Ethan Kibbe joined Erie News Now in September 2019 and is excited to tell western Pennsylvania's stories.

He's a native Pennsylvanian who grew up about three hours east of Erie, just south of the New York border. After 18 years in north-central Pennsylvania, Ethan joined his three siblings at St. Bonaventure University, determined to be a journalist. The day after graduation, he started my first, full-time job producing the morning show at Spectrum News in Buffalo, New York.

Ethan loved Buffalo, but he missed the challenge of live reporting. So, when he learned of the opportunity to join Erie New Now, he moved down Interstate 90 and got to work.

When Ethan is not reporting, he's likely watching, playing or announcing sports. He lives and dies by the successes – or more often, failures – of the Browns, Indians, Cavaliers and Sabres. He freelances as a play-by-pay announcer and is an avid runner, though after a hard day reporting, his daily run has a habit of falling by the wayside.

If you have a story idea, let him know.
