State Police: Recent Threat of Violence at Franklin Area School District Deemed Not Credible
Pennsylvania State Police and the Franklin Area School District have determined a recent threat of school violence is not credible.
The perceived threat surfaced on social media, according to troopers. A tip submitted though Safe 2 Say was also investigated and yielded the same results, State Police said.
Troopers were present on the school property Friday and Monday in a coordinated effort with the school police officer.
State Police said they will continue to work with the school district to make sure students and staff have a safe, secure learning environment.
