Erie Ale Works celebrated "a Festivus for the rest of us" Monday night.

For the sixth year in a row, the brewery on W. 12th St. in Erie decided to have some fun with the fictional holiday made famous by the television show Seinfeld.

It featured an Airing of Grievances and a Seinfeld quiz.

There's also the all-important and always-appreciated Festivus pole.

Instead of the Feats of Strength, there is local beer from Ale Works and a Seinfeld-themed menu from the Que Abides food truck.

It's a local take on the holiday.

"People are home to see their families the way the holiday falls, so they're looking for something to do that's not extreme holiday related - shopping or whatnot," said Jeff McCullor, co-owner of Erie Ale Works. "We're Festivus-ing it up pretty hardcore tonight."

McCullor said he and co-owner Steve Anthony are thankful for the support.

"The reason we're here is because of local support, and we can't fit anyone else in here tonight," said McCullor. I think all of our local support is here at once. It makes Steve and I feel really great."

He also said Festivus gives the brewery a chance to show off some of its recent improvements.
