Boscov's hosted a blood drive for the American Red Cross Monday to help address the critical need for all blood types.

Donors are eligible every 56 days to give blood in order to help save a life.

Blood cannot be manufactured, so there is always a need.

If you did not make it to the blood drive, you can go to RedCrossBlood.org to see where to donate.

"Right now, the blood is going in, being processed and delivered to patients in need right away, so there's really not more than a three day's supply of blood on the shelves," said Kim Michael, American Red Cross. "That's why we are in critical need."

The next blood drive for the Red Cross is Jan. 15 from 1:30 until 5:30 p.m. at the Red Cross building on Pittsburgh Ave.
