Man Arrested, Woman Injured in Argument over Wine in Crawford County

A man was arrested for injuring his wife during an argument over wine in Crawford County early Tuesday morning.
Troopers were called for a domestic at a residence near Penn Rd. and Martin Dr. in South Shenango Township around 1:30 a.m.
They found a husband and wife were arguing for hours after he bought himself beer but did not buy her any wine, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The man - later identified as John Valentine, 52, of Jamestown, Pa. - later hit his wife in the face/mouth area and on the side of her head, troopers said.
The 60-year-old woman suffered a split lip and loose tooth, according to State Police.
Valentine was taken into custody for simple assault and taken to the Crawford County Jail for arraignment.
