Erie High School is celebrating the holiday season with its Royal Christmas outdoor light display.

This year, it features several holiday songs synchronized to 30,000 lights on 300 distinct programming channels.

The student-designed light display is synchronized to music on the radio at 101.7 FM.

You can check out the display outside the high school at 3325 Cherry St. every evening from 6 to 10 p.m. through Sunday, Jan. 5.

The school’s career and technical students in labs including pre-engineering, landscaping/horticulture and construction trades, as well as the school's art department, helped put together the display.

Royal Christmas, which is now in its second year, is an update of the Tech the Halls holiday light show hosted when the school was named Central Tech.
