People headed to Wintergreen Gorge to enjoy a hike in the sunshine.
But none of them parked at the gorge.
That's because the lot was closed forcing nearly two dozen cars to park along Cooper Road instead. Just last year work was completed on the first phase of a nearly $700,000 renovation project at the gorge.
Part of that project included a new, 17-space parking lot, which now sits empty. We've reached out to a spokesman for Penn State Behrend and they said it should b open at the start of April, but it will remained closed in the winter.
