Haley Potter is a multimedia journalist for Erie News Now and the anchor and producer of Erie News Now at 10 on The CW.

She joined the Erie News Now team in June 2020.

Haley went to Kiski Area High School and is an alumni of Slippery Rock University. She graduated from SRU in May of 2020, where she served as the president, an anchor, producer and reporter for the campus TV station, WSRU-TV news. She also wrote for the school newspaper for four years, contributed to a fashion blog for two, and was a member of The Public Relations Student Society of America.

In addition to her role in student media, Haley served four years as the president of the SRU National Broadcasting Society chapter and was a member of the Society for Collegiate Journalists. On a national level, Haley served on the National Broadcasting Society Board of Governors from 2018-2019 and now holds the position as a professional member.

Haley’s accolades include 2018 SRU Homecoming Queen, 2019 National Broadcasting Society Member of the Year, and first place awards from the National Broadcasting Society and Pennsylvania News Association for her writing, reporting, and production.

While at SRU, Haley was also a sports reporter for the Rock Hockey team and is a founder of the non-profit, Open Hearts For All.

Outside of the newsroom, Haley enjoys working out, yoga, snowboarding, and spending time with her family and friends.

Haley is happy to be back in Erie where she interned in summer 2019.
