New Clothing Store Opens During Pandemic
GETTING CREATIVE IS WHAT MOST BUSINESSES HAVE BEEN FORCED TO DO DURING THE PANDEMIC. WHETHER IT WAS TRYING TO ADJUST TO CAPACITY RESTRICTIONS, MASK MANDATES OR KEEPING PEOPLE SOCIALLY DISTANT, COVID HAS CHALLENGED BUSINESS OWNERS TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOx.
SARA KIM IS THE OWNER OF LOLLIE AND COMPANY CLOTHING BOUTIQUE, AND SAYS NOW WAS THE PERFECT TIME TO OPEN A NEW STORE.
"I'm from North East so this place has always had a special place in my heart," says Kim.
AS A NORTH EAST NATIVE, SARA KNEW LOLLIE AND COMPANY'S NEW HOME HAD TO BE WHERE SHE GREW UP.
"When i saw this space open it just spoke to me and i knew this was the time to come back to North East and so we've been about four months in the works," says Kim.
SHE SAYS THE COMMUNITY SUPPORT IS WHAT HAS KEPT BOTH BUSINESSES ALIVE DURING THESE UNCERTAIN TIMES.
"North East has been a rock for me growing up but also it's a community of great souls the people here support each other. We always joke it's like a little hallmark movie here, because you walk around the corner somethings decorated everyone knows some," says Kim.
The store had a soft opening last week and is open for normal hours. If you still feel uncomfortable in public spaces you can order clothes off their website.
