Erie Times Federal Credit Union (FCU) is merging with Erie Federal Credit Union Jan. 1, 2022, according to an announcement Friday.
Erie Times FCU members will have full access to Erie FCU’s offerings, services and branch locations at that time.
There will be no layoffs following the merger, but the Erie Times FCU branch will close.
Erie Times FCU and its Board of Directors voted to approve the merger. The National Credit Union Association (NCUA) also signed off on the arrangement.
Erie Times FCU was organized in 1935 and is the oldest federal credit union in the Erie County area.
