The weekend is here. It is a faceoff between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns, the rivalry that gets local fans pumped for game day.
For two local fans, that rival is right next door.
Merle Page has been a Browns fan his whole life and proudly flies those orange and brown flags. Michael Barnes used to live in Pittsburgh and bleeds the black and gold, with flags, signs, and even a black house, which is on purpose.
Both neighbors told Erie News Now they enjoy the friendly competition.
“We are friends and are like family, so have fun,” Barnes, the Steeler fan said.
“We do talk a little stuff,” the Browns fan, Page said. “Especially right now because I got the two-game win streak going on today.”
Even though they're next door they never watch the game together.
Both are excited for Sunday, and to no surprise both think their own team is going to come out on top.
