Northern Pennsylvania Regional College Celebrates Opening of New Erie Education and Training Center

Northern Pennsylvania Regional College (NPRC) cut the ribbon on its new Erie Education and Training Center on Thursday afternoon.

It is located at 5739 W. Ridge Rd., Suite 2, and is the first of several planned facilities.

They will give students access to both academic classes and workforce development training opportunities that require larger equipment and specialized training aids. It features traditional classroom space with industry-specific laboratory space.

The new space includes:

• state-of-the-art precision machining and industrial maintenance technology hands-on labs
• Early Childhood Education hands-on learning lab set up to model classroom space early education teachers may work in
• science lab
• nurse’s aide/medical lab
• 14 general classrooms equipped with video technology

The facility is also serviced by two bus routes.
