MCIC to Host Children's Vaccination Clinic
With cases and hospitalizations among kids rising, local leaders and health officials are trying to boost vaccination rates among children. One local group is offering $100 to all kids who get two shots at upcoming clinics.
"There's a lot of things that needed to be done to make sure that individuals are getting vaccinated, because of the ripple effect that it can do to our community, from education, to our economic situations, and ultimately, people dying" said Shantell Hilliard, Executive Director of the Booker T. Washington Center.
The Multicultural Community Investment Coalition is hosting a vaccine clinic Thursday at the John Horan housing complex on Tacoma Rd. The clinic runs from 10 am to 1 pm, and adults can get vaccinated as well. You don't need insurance or ID.
