One of the 25 people indicted for their roles in a drug trafficking ring operating in northwestern Pennsylvania has been sentenced, according to the U.S. Department of Justice on Friday.

Kechawn Douglas, 26, will spend four years, nine months behind bars after being convicted of violating federal drug laws.

Douglas was involved in a organization that brought cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine from Puerto Rico, Florida and Arizona to Erie from January 2020 through May 2022.

He conspired to deal the cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine from February 2022 to May 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

The May 2022 indictment and arrests came after a year-long investigation involving wiretapping, detailed financial analysis and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
