Waldameer Amusement Park Announces New Water Ride is in the Works for Next Season

Monday, September 5th is the last day of the season at Waldameer Amusement Park, and the park president, Steve Gorman, said it has been a good summer.

He is also revealed a few details on what is in store for next summer, a new ride for Water World.

The ride will be modeled after a similar ride featured at a park in Connecticut. While that ride is called the Rocket Blaster, the name could change at Waldameer.

He said it will be the longest slide at the park, and the thrill will be having four people ride in a raft instead of two, like the current slides at Water World.

The current price tag for the water attraction is around $7 million.

Although the park does not release its attendance numbers, Gorman said the park was well attended because of all the warm days in the forecast.

The park said if customers buy a pass for next season right now, it can still be used until Monday.

There are some Labor Day admission restrictions, which can be found here
