The last day of horse racing at Presque Isle Downs had to be canceled, because of a threat.
A spokeswoman for P.I. Downs confirmed with Erie News Now, that they canceled its Closing-Day Card, Thursday, in the interest of safety.
According to the popular horse racing publication, Blood Horse, that safety concern was that the track received "A credible terroristic threat" against the track's jockeys, just hours before the card was to begin.
The spokesperson tells us, the investigation is ongoing.
