Pennsylvania State Police cited a driver after he lost control of his car and hit a snowplow in Wattsburg Borough.

It happened on State Route 8 south of Church St. just before 7 a.m. Dec. 1.

The 22-year-old Erie man behind the wheel of a Chevrolet car was heading south and approaching a curve when he lost control on the snow-covered road and went into the oncoming lane, according to State Police.

The car hit a state snowplow and its snow blade before spinning 180 degrees and coming to a stop in a grassy area on the side of the road, troopers said.

The driver was cited for not driving a vehicle at a safe speed.
