There was a big turnout of bowlers for the Western Sectional Special Olympics Bowling Competition on Saturday.
The event began with the opening ceremonies which included several speakers and the lighting of the torch. The games got underway in the afternoon at Eastway Lanes where close to 100 bowlers from Erie, Crawford, Warren, McKean, and Mercer county competed.
Organizers and participants said they look forward to events like this every year.
Following several hours of competition, awards given out followed by the closing ceremonies.
