A brand new banking option will soon be available for Erie residents.
Flagship Community Bank, a division of of Clarion County Community Bank, is getting ready to open on West 8th Street, near Pittsburgh Avenue.
It's a full-service bank with a focus on community, offering an alternative source of financial resources.
The branch manager says Community Banks tend to focus on the needs of the businesses and families where the bank holds branches and offices, and lending decisions are made by people who understand the local needs of families and businesses.
"It's all about the community, and servicing the Erie community, and reinvesting the dollars locally," said Dave Jackson, Branch Manager. "That's really the difference. We really want to talk to people face to face and develop those relationships. So, we're very excited by that."
Flagship Community Bank will open its doors in the spring. The Clarion County Community bank has served the Erie area of the past seven years.
