AHN St. Vincent Opens New State of the Art Wound Center

A new wound center was recently launched in Erie. 

Officials from Allegheny Health Network, AHN Saint Vincent and Highmark Health, gathered on Monday to cut the ribbon on the new AHN Saint Vincent Wound Center.

The new facility, a $2.4 million investment in construction and new equipment, is located adjacent to the hospital's previous center, on the first floor of the hospital.

"We have patients that are really in need of wound care," said Dr. Wayne Jones, Wound Center Medical Director. "I know it sounds odd or unusual but if you're a patient that has a wound that's been there for more than three months and you don't know what to do, come see us." 

AHN President Dr. Chris Clark called the process of building the new center, "a long time in the making."

Saint Vincent in the first and oldest wound care center in the Erie region.
