The Benedictines for Peace hosted the Good Friday Pilgrimage for Peace on Friday afternoon.

The sisters guided participants through the Stations of the Cross, with a prayer focus on the environmental change.

They say we are facing a climate crisis, and are in need of effective environmental action.

"We pray more people in our world will come convinced that the planet is suffering, the planet is dying," said Sister Stephanie Schmidt, Benedictine Sisters of Erie. "And we need to do something we can't continue to just sit back and do nothing."

This is the 42nd year of the Good Friday Pilgrimage.

The walk began and ended at Mount St. Benedict, and made stops along the way, including Griswold Park, Perry Square, and Dobbins Landing.
